My first trek

TV: Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Creator: Gene Roddenberry

Boldly going.......even further than the original series.

Encapsulated. Would you recommend this? why?

Oh definitely, it is one of the cornerstones of the sci-fi industry.

Time and Space: When and where I first encountered it

Well I was born in 1985, so I suppose 2... maybe 3 given the time it may have taken to cross the pond... I don't have any "discovery" memories it was just always there as my Dad was a fan.

Recollection and revelations

For many people this, not TOS, is the quintessential Trek. I am more of a late Voyager girl myself but I do have firm fond memories of watching this with my Dad. The Borg are terrifying and I love Q!! I also love Picard, and all the crew, especially Data.

Before this...

Nothing... though I watched Doctor Who at the same time

As I said I was 2/3, I don't think I can even remember that far back... so I grew up with Trek.

After This

Everything I watched/read/listend to so far

Far too long to list

I remember refusing to go anywhere near this for years until the early nineties, my university days. Sitting on a Wednesday evening in the common room, rammed to the gunnels, shouting at the television. Oh happy days! If only we could still believe in such a rosy vision of the future...
