Comic: Dan Dare.
Creator: Frank Hampson

Encapsulated. Would you recommend this? why?

Brilliant. My first real encounter with Space, and I was lost in his adventures!!

Time and Space: When and where I first encountered it

I was 12 years old and waiting for the very first edition of Eagle Comic to be printed. I remember buying this first issue and joining all the various clubs

Recollection and revelations

I read that this marvelous new comic was to be printed and could not wait for it to come out. Yes it expanded my view of the world in the fact that there was this marvelous Dan Dare who could travel in space.

Before this...

The Blue Moon

A lovely book, that told about a young girl who was gazing out of her bedroom window at the moon, which turned blue, and she was whisked onto the surface of the moon, where she had many adventures. Loved it!

After This

The War of the Worlds

My Very, Very, favourite Book. I had a copy of the Book given to me at my first Job by a Boy who worked there, I was 15. I still have this book very tatty now. but I would never part with it, and I still read it. This is the original Story. not some Film. Why don't make a film based on that.
