It was frightening!

lostAndromeda writes about Quatermass and the Pit

Nigel Kneale

1958

TV: Quatermass and the Pit.
Creator: Nigel Kneale

Encapsulated. Would you recommend this? why?

Yes but it terrified me when I watched it as unlike the extravagent Sci-Fi I could remember London looking as it did in the film!

Time and Space: When and where I first encountered it

I had heard of it but probably did not watch it until around 30+ years

Recollection and revelations

Before this...

A for Andromeda

I was about 14 and my mother always insisted that I turn it off (Dr Who was also banned1) but I do remember a woman playing a biochemist. For some reason this fascinated me so when I went to University I read Biochemistry but I have yet to watch A for Andromeda...

After This

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy on radio

Absolutely brilliant and wah is more the TV adaptation lived up to the radio version
