NV overlay post-punk tunes on very traditional, fundamental arrangements and it is just not enough. It's style over substance. I'm sure the fan base are young and are swayed by the 'cool' factor; but if you're fooled it's a measure of YOUR musical sophistication. Therefore I'm relieved to hear that the producers are striking out in a new direction for this latest offering although I will be giving the album a listen before deciding whether or not to buy it........here's hoping !
