During the 1950s my father was vicar of St Cross Oxford and we had a BBC sound studio on the top floor which comprised a bedroom hung with sound proofing material.
I sometimes escorted BBC reporters to the studio particularly to report on sports events in the University Parks. One of the events was the cricket match Oxford University v MCC.
