We moved into our new - the house (bungalow) that dad built (with a bit of help from his boys!!) on July 21st 1969. And we sat down later that day to watch the footage of the first moon landing. epic events, epic day.
Many years later I was fortunate to be able to visit the NASA space Centre in Florida. Arriving in the Saturn V hangar and seing the rocket hanging there brought back memories and growing up in the 70s to the accompaniment of regular space missions. An emotional moment.
