Ashton Road School

Phil's memory of 1st January 1968 - 31st December 1968

I remember my junior school days at Ashton Road in Castleford in the 1960s and the Teacher who first got me interested in gardening.
Its thanks to that Teacher that i went onto become a Landscape Gardener when i left school.
He got me looking after the greenhouse in the school holidays and took a real interest in me.
When he left the school i was devestated and to this day have never forgot him and would love to meet him again.
Mr Les Staves was his name.
Thanks Mr Staves if you see this.
