About Memoryshare

BBC Memoryshare is a living archive of memories from 1900 to the present day. You can contribute, share and browse memories of life experiences and see them in the context of recent and historical events. Memoryshare is of value to people across the UK and internationally, and may be used as a source of programme content for the BBC. Anyone registered with bbc.co.uk can contribute to Memoryshare.

Where can I find Memoryshare?

You can find Memoryshare through www.bbc.co.uk/memoryshare. We have launched Memoryshare on a number of BBC sites, BBC Bradford and West Yorkshire, BBC Cumbria, BBC Derby, BBC Humber, BBC Isle of Man, BBC Leeds, BBC Lincolnshire, BBC Liverpool, BBC London, BBC Norfolk, BBC Oxford, BBC South Yorkshire, BBC Radio 1 , BBC Radio 4 - Today , BBC Radio 4 - Saturday Live and BBC Radio 4 - Writing the Century . What’s in it for me?

You can read memories, research events and link to context material relating to any date back to January 1st 1900. If you register you can contribute your own memories and use the service to store and share your accounts of all the memorable days in your life. You can also post comments on other people’s contributions.
