Bought my first Acorn computer

philosophicalRedders's memory of 1st January 1979 - 1st January 1995

Whilst working for the B.B.C. in Chiswick, W4, London as a admin. / technical support numpty. I used to chat to Steve Clifford who was sort of in charge of the computer set up in Test Laboratory, B.B.C. Equipment Department. At the time they were playing with B.B.C. Micros, i.e. the version A, A+ and B. I can just about remember buying the B+, cost a small fortune @ the time, but well worth the money and was the most advanced computer available @ the time. The early beginnings of the UK computer industry... Acorn computers and all that followed.

Also on 1st January 1979...
