Best test match I've ever seen - from Freddys bludgeoning innings to the Aussies rearguard stand.

But is anyone else worried that we only just beat them and they didnt even have their star player?

Personally I think the Aussies got a bit more out of that then the English. Aussies loose their star new ball bowler and the teams become about even. Not bad I think

Love your logic. Aus lose their best fast bowler AND the crucial testmatch, and you think they got more out of it? er....

..and thats how you get to be the best team in the world... by never giving up no matter how impossible the situation might be. Well done Aussies, what a morning, and a good message to England following the Lords capitulation.

yep we outplayed them and still only beat them by a couple of runs - just shows what a team the Aussies are- what is interesting is that i reckon an England team of the past would have lost that but this seems to have the Aussie knack of fighting it out

You play the team in front of you - on that pitch I don't think Mcgrath would have been so deadly, his pace would have been more pedestrian than harmi and flintoff. Anyway, well done aussies - what a fight that was and c'mon England!!!!

What ashame that only Sky viewers will be able to watch drama like this on the future! It is simply wrong that the majority odf people will not be able to watch because grounds are too small and Sky is too expensive!
