Agree, you must beat what they put out. Lets not make excuses, we were rubbish, no matter what string you are.

Come on, it's not a C team, we are missing Harmy, Vaughan, Tres, Jones, Hoggard and KP but really India played a lot better than us. In the first 2 games we had chances to win and didn't take them

India have out played us

I would not like to take this(English) team too lightly..I get a feeling that players like Prior (as a keeper/batsman) and Anderson can become in ODI specialists if they do well.

England team is badly missing their stars ie Vaughan,Tresco,Jones (Simon Jones!), Giles and Harmission.

Add these guys to this squad...and English team will look much stronger.

I'm not sure england have been that weak. The only players we've got to come back are Vaughan (who is HOPELESS in ODIs and wouldn't really improve the team much), Trescothick (OK, world class ODI opener), Harmison (fine bowler but not so sure how much better he'd be on these slow dusty pitches than the bowlers we've got), Simon Jones (unproven in ODIs, can be expensive, so maybe not too different to Anderson). Of course, Anderson and KP were missing from this game which makes the team a lot weaker.

I say congratulations to india, they've bowled really well in this series and today getting nearly 300 on that pitch was a great effort. My pre-series prediction of 5-2 to india is looking a little hopeful now!!!

Yes you are correct, indians took lot of advantage. In fact indians shouldn't have even played saying that this is your C team we do not want to beat you.

You talk like kids.

So England are in bad shape right now and India have a 3-0 lead. As an England supporter I still have the grace in defeat to say well done to India, who are outplaying us in every department so far and thoroughly deserve their 3-0 lead. Regardless of who is missing from the team, if England are to go on and perhaps make themselves the best team in the world, they have to learn to cope when players are missing. If we have such strength in depth, why are we 3-0 down? Would you ever see Australian and Indian teams bemoaning their bad luck when a few players are missing? Don't forget the line-up changes Oz went through in the Ashes, missing bowlers and batsmen all over, and they still made us play to the last day before the contest was decided. Come on England, I'm sure even with the players available we can do much better than this, as it is another one or two defeats and this will look very embarassing indeed.

You are right pal. Its filthy to say England C team. Thts the kinda excuse a coward can do. But not the players out there. As you see, we miss only vaughn, treso and harmi and Kevin in this match. But If you compare indian team who shined in last two matchs were suresh raina..younger and very junior then bell, jones, owais shah and struss. Whos all scores together doesnt add up to raina.
If you say englad playing with C team, that means the cricket invented country does only have these 3 playes depend on victory???
bullshit that.
U have freddie, collinwood, strauss, anderson experienced and should be able to guide through victory.
No country not allowed to make any excuses....

especially as they are carrying injuries, or one thing or another i doubt if the players that were missing would have made a better contribution?

I agree with your sentiments, just correcting a factual error - in the ashes I believe Australia had one player (McGrath) injured, and he only missed 2 games. It wasn't as if they were the walking wounded...
