Well, people said they'd be just a flash in the pan, but they proved everyone wrong when Greatest Hits catapulted them to fame. Then they tried the same with the follow-up with the rude title, which didn't sell quite so many (90,000 apparently). So they were dropped by Atlantic.

What do people think of Goldie Lookin' Chain? Are they just one-trick ponies, or can they make a decent comeback? Was Maggot the best thing about Celebrity Big Brother? And what's your favourite song of theirs?

Never had a problem with the GLC until I heard about this supposed fued with the No Sleep Police.
I think they were a bit of a novelty act to be quite honest but good on um.. They manufactured rap - how the F they manage that?

not the sort of music that i would buy and ain't got anything by them yet but what i have heard is great!

the others in big brother were either freaks or had bigger egos than tom jones.maggot seems a top lad!

Maggot did very well on Big Brother.
Infact he should have won it.
Dont you agree.

Preston's CBB exploits gave a boost to the flagging career of The Ordinary Boys, but Maggot's appearance was probably counterproductive.

There's no point in GLC cultivating an image as superchavs from da ghetto and then having one of their number show himself on national TV to be a thoroughly nice chap and much less rebellious than the average children's TV presenter. What were they thinking?????

Still, I bet they're chuffed the joke lasted as long as it did.

Im in the US and love these guys. After listening to them for almost a year now I just found out about the Atlantic incident. I hope to hear more from them soon. Im also trying to get as many people as I can to listen. One ( of many) of my favorite songs is Your Missus is A Nutter. Followed by Guns and then Maggot at Midnight.

I was hoping for a US tour but I guess now thats out of the question.

I think a lot of people just dont get GLC. They are far from a serious band! Their whole image is a mickey take and parody of current youth culture in Newport! They are all well educated, middle class people in real life!

Have you heard them talk in interviews? They are very well spoken. Do you actually think their songs are serious, come on! Talking about 'shoot up's outside hyper value' or a romantic date in 'McDonalds'?
