How do you de-stress? Share your tips on alternative therapies and ways of finding your inner peace. You can read some expert articles by tutors and therapists in our Mind Body and Spirit section at bbc.co.uk/wales/sout...

If posters click on the link (Message 1), then on 'Relaxation', several techniques are described. One of the better ones, because it takes little time, is to tense and relax each body part. Although not mentioned, it works better when body parts are tensed, then released SLOWLY. People quickly learn the difference tension and relaxation.

I picture myself sitting at Aberthaw beach, sitting on the sea wall. The wind is blowing - not too hard but enough to see the waves breaking off shore. The sun is shining - maybe a spring day - I've still got my big cochy jumper on. I can count the waves as they land on the pebbles, and all I can here is the seagulls, the birds and the gentle hum of the machinery in the Power station.
thats how I relax and de-stress

When somebdy posted something about Diana ... Princess of Wales recently it was taken away by the mods as having nothing to do with Welsh issues,this must be a case of DO AS I SAY AND NOT AS I DO :

Personally I practice transcendental meditation. It's more than twice as relaxing as the deepest sleep. 20 minutes, twice a day. Go for it!

I'm a bit stuck trying to see what this discussion topic has to do with South East Wales. If anyone else posted such drivel it would be modded off.

By Golly ! Ed, where have you been, Blue?

Did the relaxation technique take you away from us for so long a time?

I'll have to give it a miss, if so.

I de-Stress by having a day[or many]off work!Then I think of all the other Unlucky sods in OTHER Jobs less fortunate than myself.Still,only 48 more months to go until I am the big 65,so I can say Sod 'em all,and retire and be bloody miserable like the other "Grumpy Old Men!"
I relax by laying in the Bath tub,filled with hot soapy suds.Laying there listening to Beethoven's 9th;Symphony Blasting away for All of Canton to hear!{NO,I don't use Headphones!]
Then I have a lovely Madras Curry complete with Pilau Rice & Chips,and a few poppadoms.Washed down with a Can of "Skull Attack!"["S.A";to you!]
Bliss,Perfect Bliss!
Have a nice day. C.K;
