we were told that Sgwd-yr-Eira waterfall in the neath valley would re open mid 2008 allowing a regular 160,000 vistiors to return. After phoning the forestry commision they have told me that a resolution to the problem is knowhere in sight, its such a shame that one of the most beautiful waterfalls in wales is tied up in a political wrangle

I know its a bit frustarting and I would feel equally aggrieved. You could however expand your horizons and visit Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant in Mid Wales, one of the seven wonders of Wales.A site to cherish whilst you are mourning.

All the best

Thanks for the link,
YUYS, get with the picture wil'ew, theas fine people up here have no vivid idear or intrest what so ever in venturing so far from here, why, some have never been to Cardiff in 90 years . ..Betsy's been there more times in the car with me than most.heard alsorts of romers and things going on down there , we are kind of old fasion. set in our ways mun,Close nit they call it .and no funny coments thank you Lots have gone befor for day trips such as this or an International game for example, and hasent returned for days , lost his job, arrested ect and never let out of his wifes site again, some never return, and evacuated to all parts of the world in the past, you will find most seeking greener feilds fall pray, getting caught up in the bright lights and glits and glamor. Returning wrecks after a week , or months, on the bozze and what ever els that intails,oh i done it hard ,no work couldent find any , no way we dont get caught up in this palaver of going too far , We get to excited. Also I dont think we should be advertising too much to these out of the way places as it will ultimately cost lots more, with all sorts of nuts, having to be recued ,crashes on the way ,more trafic ,more fuel ,more carbon . no lets keep thease plases quiet , Rehabilatate theas and other areas and bring back the smaller Natine/endemic fishes and plants trough out Wales . Is there any you think worth saving, Besides the River Taff Rhonda dam project at Porth ,,would it be worth considering for some kind of Zoneing, heratige listing,on places, like thease falls and others not so popular locations, with consideration for the presavation for the future of thease areas and smaller fishes.

Dose any one have a link for minnows ,knewt, that kind of Stuff, There are lots of cray fish in Wales How many of you knew that or have seen any, what else is there . Is there any smaller native/endemic Fishes in thease falls area, or in other Rivers/ Streams in Wales you may now of. I can only find info on the bigger fresh water fish .I also would like to forwards a motion that we make the rhondda world hratige listing befor they Dam us . could you help by Beeping your horn or Just shout. NO DAM FOR PORTH
