What do you think of your school dinners - yummy or crummy? Do you have a choice, or is there a set meal? Tell me what you think.

At our school they're really quite nice. We've had healthy food right from the beginning-waaaay back in 2002-we SO came up with the healthy food thing before Jamie Oliver  We have really good home cooked food-there is always a choice of 3 meals-2 normal and one veggie. They also have baked potato with various toppings, cold pasta salads, sandwiches and salad boxes, as well as fruit salad and yoghurts for desert, and there's some sort of home-made cake every day too. We have fish&chips Fridays and it's fantastic! Like you'd get from a fish and chip shop  This is a reply to this message

There is loads of food, burgers, chicken burgers, cakes, cookies, chips, corma, curry, spag hoops, loads, even drinks and jubblys! But they are gross! Hardly any are vegetarian, so i just have chips sometimes with this sauce stuff, but my friends keep finding like hair in their food and nails! (blurgh)it is gross!

my school dinners are yummy. on mondays and fridays its chip day so we get chips, but you can get lots of other things too. pasta, sandwiches, chicken wraps, noodles, curries or chillis, jacket potatoes and cookies. and we get slush puppies! its all really nice.

Ours are VERY crummy. They used to be good, now they are 'BLEH!', the only day that they are good, are Pizza Fridays.

I hate my school dinners because whenever i have eaten them i always find a hair in them.
The desserts are nice but sometimes they are soggy because they leave them in a cool and wet fridge.
so overall i hate my school dineers.

My school dinners are ok... the veg isn't that nice but everythinbg else is lush, especially the pizza!

ours qwuite gud tbh we get pizza everyday and we get fish and chips , or burger and chips on fridays , we also have pasta, jacket potato, noodles, sandwiches, wraps, slush puppets, cakees and buns,cheese paninis, rice, cold and hot pasta.
i think its qwuite an unhealthy school our school lol x

i think school dinners are alright if you choose the right thing....we have about 2 to 3 choices usely but sometimes it really discusting haha...

In my school we need to bring our own food from home ( packed lunch ) we dont have a cantine it sucks !! though my school is only for girls and at lunch time its a zoo !! I prefere going home for lunch cuz my house is just around the corner This is a reply to this message

it depends becoz sometimes we get different things. they actually do make the same thing everyday but often the lines are long for each 1. There is a hot, cold and wrapped queue so really it doesn't vary. i'm talking ...... here so byeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

The school dinners in my school ARE really crummy... but then I live in the west of Scotland and we've not exactly got the best diet in the world. They did try to make them healthier about a year ago and they didn't do a very good job but it is much better than what it was- you could have a burger and chips or deep fried pizza every day if you wanted- now you can have salad and there is free fruit & veg and stuff like that.
