The Bitesize messageboards will close permanently at the end of July 2013.
We understand this will be disappointing news. Why is this happening?
Bitesize is part of the BBC’s Knowledge & Learning department, which is working on a new website. We've looked at how people interact with existing sites through things like comments, social media and messageboards. We understand that being able to ask and answer questions is an important part of learning. For the new website we're looking at new tools that allow people to talk about what they’re learning, while they are learning
The current messageboards sit separately from Bitesize content, so they don't allow learners to take part in discussions alongside the pages they’re reading. For technical and cost reasons, we need to close the messageboards while we explore these new tools.
You can find out more about the new Knowledge & Learning site in this blog post: www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/...
Where can I send comments? The best place to send feedback is on the Contact Us page: www.bbc.co.uk/school...
The Bitesize hosts will not be able to answer specific questions about the closure. Please use the form above to contact the Bitesize team.
There are other places online where you can find helpful resources or discuss schoolwork.
