I am disgusted by the scotland performance, it's maybe the worst performance I have seen from them in about three years. The lineout has been awful (bring back Bulloch) can't wait for Dougie Hall to get dropped. In the loose have been rubbish Lamont seems to think that he can run through three players at once. Basically second to every ball, Ireland deserve to win.

On balance yeah I think Ireland deserved to win although as an England fan I didn't really care. But what an apalling game! 'Great Entertainment' the commentators said. What game were they watching?

flippin eck where were you last year? Agree Lineout was abismal no ball equals no win, Lamont was trying to make something out of nothing which was what was needed if we have no ball. Hall should have been off earlier, confidence shot, bulloch wont be back and that would be a step backwards, hall to the bench for the italy game.

No offesne to the Scots...but you beat a miss firing France and England and well done to you, but if you anylise your offensive play....

Well its non existent (bit like us English, although at least we tried tbh).

Cant win games if you dont at least try to win IMO. Youll win a few from doggit determination, but the law of averages will win the day!

(it was the 'bring back bulloch' comment that was the real giveaway - yeah, what we need is the player in 6N history - albeit a brief one - with one of the the highest percentage of carries to turnovers)

ireland are a better team than us (and this is mostly due to their sophisticated and our dysfunctional lineout which means they can play an effective kicking game and we can't).

bigdeal.

we could have lost by double or triple the margin and it would still be a huge improvement on last season.

The lineout was crap. O'Gara had to kick into our 22 when Hall was on and Ireland had a 99% of regaining the ball.

Really gutted by that result, although being positive: White was absolutely immense today, Parks kicked superbly as did southwell and Henderson was superb in attack and defence.

surprised to see some of the comments. Beacuse you beat england and france doesn't automatically mean you'll win against Ireland.

You played with great heart and determination throughout but you need a cutting edge and until you get that you will loose away from home.

You know lads Ireland are not a bad team. Look at it from an Irish point of view. We domianted the game and yet one break away try and you could have snatched it.

Given where you were i would be pleased with the championship to date.

Go and beat italy and cement what's been a good championship.

but its not just scotland - isnt it turew that the quality of the 6N this year has been poor - perhpas as poor as Ive ever seen it. Endeavour - top notch, pasion - for sure, but quality - I cant recall a quality 80 minute game yet?????

Ah well! Good results vs France and Egnland (and well done too), but to be perfectly frank, Scotland has no attack whatsoever. If they get one they will be a good team IMO!

And before the WUM's rip me apart, at least England tried to run it, Scotland's attack is.... (well actually i havent seen it...has anyone else?)

It might be quite good if you try it? Lamont is quality!

Gotta agree with remedial monkey. Have you guys got short memories nd/or an understanding of rugby?

From a professional perspective I could watch Scotland play like that (great defense, great goal kicking, another shut out and at least 2 wotld class perfomances) over those inept performances over the last few seasons. I too have a great lit of adjectives but prefer reasoning over rhetoric...

Or are you all goldfish?
