Who do you think was player of the 6nations tournament and when do they officially announce it. I personally think Bergamasco Italian centre deserves it.

Either Pez (controlling the game, getting Italian backs working etc) or Corry (best England player in their games, despite pressures of losing and having dayglo about he was very good and made the point for all to see that dallaglio isn't needed by the saes. only question mark is over his leadership)
cor blimey, that's the nicest thing i've written about a saes player since martin johnson hung up his boots.

Bergamasco stood out in Italy's 3rd and 4th matches, but hardly heard him mentioned before that.
Horgan must be a candidate along with Hugo Southwell of Scotland , who I thought was arguably the best full back in the tournament.
This will annoy the Scottish fans, but I think their back row is overated and not a patch on Ireland's. Easterby, Leamy and Wallace - way ahead of White (good tackler, ok in the odd lineout, but not much else, Hogg (ok but not much in the way of creativity or link work for a N0.7), and Taylor (ok, but doesn't seem to do much, and invisible at times - and that's when he's not injured).
Just my opinion

Bergamasco HAS to be the player of the tournament. He really is world class. As for Wales, and based on one performance admittedly, I think it has to go to Mike Phillips. That was one almighty show against the French and he's really set his stall out for world cup selection. Mr Peel, you're gonna have one hell of a job to get your place back on that performance

100% spot on - no contest. I would give it to Bergamasco as he lit up the backline for a side not renowned for back play.
