Good game from Luscombe. He has taken a lot of stick on here, but this just shows what can happen when decent ball is provided.

This was a Welsh Team performance we can finally be proud of

I agree, nice to see a good performance.

Hal had another break before that try, he played well.

Second to Mike Philips as Man of Match. I didn't know he could play this well! With Henson fully fit, will MW, or HJ be picked to play alongside him! I was thinking Watkins before this match, without a doubt, i thought. But after this game I wonder if HJ should retain his place!

I have always liked and rated Luscombe. He played a good game today but Watkins !!! What a player, always threatened and scared the living daylights out of the French defense. Good game Wales, restored much pride with this "team" effort.

I know that with Shanks and Henson playing at their best, he probably wont get a look in, but at least he shows he may be a capable replacement. May address the strength in depth, and help build a squad for the RWC.

In patches these players have looked like they can perform to the standard expected, but finally put a whole game together today.

Hats off to them. They made us proud

This is my feeling exactly, hopefully it will mean we can build a really good squad with that strength in depth we've all been worried about.

Absolutely, just a shame that MJW was a bit subdued today I reckon that a 13 is only as good as his 12 allows him to be. Hope he stays with the Dragons as he's out of contract soon and is being targetted by several clubs.

What I love about being a welsh fan is how much heart we get after the team have played well - even if they lose- I for one see a really good squad emerging out of the gloom of this 6N.

Matthew Watkins unfortunately today showed that he is no match for Gavin Henson who IMO should be first choice 12 from now on.

It would be too costly for Wales to just keep Henson on the bench and mess him about by bringing him on in different positions.

Such a talented player and particularly one who has in the past brought glory to the Welsh team should be supported and encouraged to come back as a strong contender.

Nice to hear him being cheered for clinching that fantastic penalty.

Well done Gavin.

Who was the Irish chap hosting coverage on BBC? Apart from having zero clue and talking down Wales all the time he harped on about Phillips being tall & skinny. Put him in a room with Mike and see who's skinny.

Yes, I'd agree with this.

this is the first time I've seen him do anything and I really did think there were better centres around, but he played really well today.

I guess he is going to have to play out of his skin next year to get a place though.

He won't be the only player who'll have to fight for his place in the3 team next year - Isn't that a good thing to say ...... I wish we had been in that position at the start of this season when we really didn't have the depth to cover our injuries at the highest level of play
