I reckon we just pick the Swansea Uplands 1st XV en bloc for Wales v England.

We can rest our usual Test players for the Autumn test and will work as great prep for the World Cup. The lads will be chuffed with the opportunity, as will the lads from other clubs volunteering their services for the other games while The Mighty Uplands lay down and concentrate on breathing again for a few weeks.

But on the positive front. At least we still have positions in which we have competition for places.

At this point last year, England had an injury crisis (Not as bad as this one admitedly) and their coach panicked and slung together a team without much thought.

We have the first choice Tighthead, Lock, Flanker, Inside Centre, Outside Centre and Winger all injured. With our backups severly depleted. And yet in the Back Row, we still have Charv, Delve, Owen, M Williams, D Jones, A Popham to occupy 3 starting places.

In the Loosehead position we have G Jenkins, J Yapp and D Jones all fighting for one spot.

Phillips, Cooper and Peel for Scrum Half.

Look on the brightside, when all the players are fit, we will be a team to be reckoned with.

This is actually healthly for the Long run...

dont be silly - this is just silly - guys weve got a good enough team to run rings around the enemy - we will win - that im sure off - we play a high risk high reward game - and the aged and predictable english team will have no answer for our skill and quick wit.

come on boyos have faith in the lads.

Every team in the comp has lost 1st choice players due to injury, suspension etc. Its usually the team with the most out that do worst in the 6N- thats a fact! Last year Wales were fortunate with injuries- this year I honestly think they will suffer because of their losses. Thats life guys- next year will be somebody elses turn. I'm just worried how tanned GH will be on his return!!

I'm an englishman and I'm not writing off the welsh yet. Worryingly, despite not having a full side out against the aussies, they looked impressive again. Wales can retain their title.

Having saying that, England aren't looking bad at the mo either, so we're gonna win! Uh oh, I live in cardiff so I should watch my back!

I cant believe fellow Wales fans are on here talking about how bad things are or could be! We have been here before and we came fighting back and we will again, its in our blood.

How do you think the players might feel if they visit these forums? Doesnt exactly inspire confidence does it now boys!!

Come on, get behind the lads, they wont win without us.

I really think that France is going to win the Six Nations, with England in second place. Wales were not at their best during the Autumn, losing to New Zealand by a considerable number of points, whereas England only lost by 4 and therefore, I am confident that England can beat Wales!!

I would recommend Wales nicking more English players on top of the existing welter of Anglos in the Wales squad.

That would solve the crisis - how about Gillies?

Then you might get another chance of stuffing England again by two points with a dodgy referee and a dodgy pitch.

dodgy ref? dodgy pitch? surely both sides had to deal with it, and I think most people would agree that the best team won on the day.

I'm sure the best team will win this time round, just hope it's Wales!

Why do people keep on putting wales down for their AI. couple of things to consider:
1)New Zealand had just finished their season when they came over to play wales in the first match. Wales hadn't played together for 6months properly under mike ruddocks coaching.
2)A lot of injuries still plagued their team. wales had to rebuild in a short amount of time for all the new guys to fit in again. where areas new zealand and the rest of the SH had most of the team they used in the tri nations. And had already established who bonds and tactics.
3)Wales re-established themselves with parts in South Africa (the number 2 in the world) match and when they played Australia(4th in the world)
they showed that they still play with flair.
4)everyones assuming because england had a close match with NZ and france Decimated SA that they are most likely to win the 6N. remember though NZ fielded their #1 side against wales, against England they didnt(even though the both parties could be Classed as the #1 team after the AI.)France had a fair few games together before the SA game and that could be said of england. i understand your only as good as your last game but if thats the case (australia) Wales played awesome and its going to be a Very close match again in twickenham and whoever will win will win the grand slam i feel. france will always lose against a side everyone predict they'll win
