I'm excited,as usual ! Really looking forward to seeing Swarb's new band,Lazarus,John Martyn,Steeleye Span and ,of course, the Fairports. Looking forward to the fantastic atmosphere, seeing the lovely village again,The Brasenose and The Red Lion. I hope that everyone who is going, young and old,has a great time.and will see you all back on here on Sunday for the Post Mortem. Have fun everyone !

A Cropredy,A Cropredy,the first one of this year !
bumpngrind went up to the field, The Fairport for to hear'
I'm still jealous, haven't made it to any festivals this year! Don't miss John Martyn, he was in fine form earlier this year and an adoring crowd is just his kind of thing!

We've just got back home. My husband's playing his new C.D.s and our friend is flat out under a duvet in the living room. Great time. Oh, and I've just peeled off my 2-day clothes. Any good stories?

Back now, just out of the bath after a long soak. Shame the weather turned last night and all the campers got wet. I loved Steeleye Span,Maddy still has an incredible voice, particularly on 'Long Lankin' and 'Tam Lin'. Was disappointed that the Brasenose called last orders at 11pm pn Friday,it meant we could hear 10cc back at our tents. I thought that Deborah Bonham was outstanding, the highlight of the weekend for me,by a long way. How come she isn't much more famous than she is ? John Martyn was excellent, too,as usual. I enjoyed most of Saturday, but I'm afraid that King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys isn't really my cup of tea,but it just shows the variety of music Fairport are brave enough to put on. It was brilliant to see the return of Swarb, not many dry eyes around where I was standing up at the front.I hoipe we have many more years of enjoying this unique musician. Glen Tilbrook, I'm a long time fan,and loved his set. As for the Fairports,I've seen them better,I've seen them worse, and I'm sure they will pull out a fantastic festival next year for the 40th Anniversary of the band. All in all,a most enjoyable weekend as ever, and in the words of Simon Nicol,'See you all next year',and can we please have a warm, dry weekend ?

Swarb was on incredible form. Never thought it possible that he'd recover to this level. He's back as Folk's finest fiddler - the rest may as well pack their instruments away and go home.
