Does anyone know any good warm-up songs to start a club night off with? I have very few warm-up tunes, these being:

Verve-Bittersweet Symphony
Make Believe-Kings of Tomorrow
6pm-Kings Of Tomorrow
Lets be Young-Quentin Harris
Your Love-Frankie Knuckles

I would really appreciate it if people could steer me in the right direction as I am just starting out DJing. I play house, trance and hard house music...thanks in advance to those who can steer me in the right direction to some good warm-up tunes!

I'd go for songs with up lifting vocals and funky basslines with a slow'ish tempo. Nothing too hard or dark

Dr Kucho - Cant stop playing
Illicit funk - The Power (sunday morning mix)
Sun - Gone (Moto blanco remix)
Kathy brown - (copyright classic mix)

Just afew house tunes, not into trance.

Dr Kucho - Can't Stop playing would be one of my 'peak time' tunes!

I suppose it really depends on what your'e planning on playing later. I play soulful and funky house and thats warm enough for me!

With you on that one Dave!

Depends what styles are being played later on. I play out at deep, soulful house nights so for me a few Naked/Inspirit/OM tracks, although some of those would get a rinsing during the peak hours tbh.

Certainly don't play the latest and greatest tracks - always goes down like a lead balloon.

Sometimes its quite nice to play a warm up set as you can induldge yourself a little with some personal favourites.

I usually pick my tunes through either an addictive bassline or soulful lyrics, went through my cd collection yesterday and realised I had far too many peak time tracks and not enough songs to warm-up the dancefloor...thanks for the track recommendations!

Honey [Chicane Club Mix]

This track is on the album: In Search Of Sunrise by DJ Tiesto.

It's dance but not quite full on.

How bout As the rush comes by Motorcycle? Not at the start of your set obv, as i take it u r warming up for someone else? But drop it near the end of ur set? It's not full on like, but should get people moving?
