Well apart from the obvious fact that BT seem to be very slow in getting this sorted, and parts of the New Forest have very poor mobile phone reception. I think you may find the item was on a local news bulletin within the Breakfast transmittion, not actually by Breakfast themselves. If I'm wrong about that I apologise. But if I am correct this is a news story so not supported by this board.

These days BBC news and current affairs programmes contain little else than people complaining about this or that. I find all this complaining very tedious. My regional news programme, "Northwest Tonight" consists mainly of reporters standing outside hospitals and patients complaining about the NHS.

Sorry, that should read transmission, not transmittion.

BTW, there is also a very long BBC Breakfast thread here www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mb... should you wish.

And in turn, I apologise if the 'complaint' (more an observation) was not supported by this board (not sure what that means btw.) I'm pretty sure that it was featured as a report on the main program, not as a regional matter...but if I'm wrong...sorry. As for parts of the New Forest having very poor mobile coverage......hmmm, I detect a certain defensiveness on behalf of the Beeb!

    Regional news-South.

But on the support comment-from the header

"This board does not host discussions about programmes or content relating to BBC news, BBC sport, BBC radio or general current affairs. Off-topic posts will be removed."

So this will probably be closed at some point
