During the end of the documentary (eighty five minutes in) when the programme discusses Jimi's death, the background music is a version of 'One Rainy Wish'. I have the 'Axis: Bold As Love' version, but this version sounds acoustic?!
Does anyone know if it is acoustic or a live recording??

With Jimi Hendrix you never know.
It could be a live version, it could be a studio outtake, it could be Jimi sitting around with a tape machine running, an alternate take, a demo, what have you.
I think by this point there is nary any bit of Jimi Hendrix playing or singing that was ever captured on tape that has not been released since his death.
The vultures have picked over the bones pretty extensively.

It was a brilliant documentary, by the way. I was spellbound for the entire 90 minutes.
Imagine does do some great profiles of creative people.

And all thanks to Chas Chandler, bassist with The Animals, who discovered him.
I think he also brought Goldie & The Gingerbreads to our shores.
