    Sir or Madam,

In this current economic climate and most particularly in Yorkshire & the North is it not time that this programme was rested. It seems to me that it may just be rubbing salt in the wound for those who havent as we can see who are those that have ?

    Many thanks

I feel that this programme is totally out of touch with reality!

There is a recession on, people are finding life hard and then they have people on the programme with £750,000- £1 Million to find a house!

The worst of it is that after a free holiday provided by you and I the licence fee payers, they find the 'perfect' house and then announce that they 'have to go home and put their house on the market'
The next you hear is either a) the dream house sold before theirs did or
    b) they went back for another look and decided to
    live in another area entirely!

GET REAL PRODUCERS OF THIS PROGRAMME!

If you have to continue with this programme ONLY have people on who have sold their house and are able to move immediately........

    OTHERWISE, DON'T BOTHER!!

I think so too, this morning on homes Under The Hammer we didn't get to see such expensive houses.

I think the poster is talking about Escape To the Country.

Holmes under the Hammer is about Houses that have either been repossessed or probably the previous owner is deceased, and a great amount needs spending on them , so they may not be immediately mortgageable

Holmes under the Hammer is about Houses that have either been repossessed or probably the previous owner is deceased, and a great amount needs spending on them , so they may not be immediately mortgageable  Like the house that had a damaged roof, big holes in the walls, no kitchen or bathroom that was in Margate if I remember that was done up so a homeless family could move in.

I watch whenever I can as I like seeing the awful transformed sometimes into spectacular homes. I only remember the homes in London fetch a vast amount of money, I would guess the vast majority end up in average price range for whichever area of the country they are in,

    Apologies fellow messageboarders!
I do tend to get a bit hot under the collar where Escape to the Country is mentioned and have now posted in the appropriate place!
