I hope I'm duplicating anything, but I saw an article elsewhere on the BBC saying that his body had been found at the foot of some cliffs in Sussex; he had gone missing several days ago.

Not being an Eastenders viewer, I never saw him in that, but I do remember him making a masterful job of the role of Mohammed Khordad, a terrorist, in series 7 of 'Spooks'. A lesser actor might have made him into a caricature, but in Mr Bhattacharjee's hands he was simultaneously threatening and persuasive, sympathetic and repulsive. A wonderfully nuanced performance. I believe he was superb on stage too, and I'm only sorry I never managed to see one of his performances there.

What an awful shock and loss for his family. Poor man. smiley - rose

I know nothing of Paul Bhattacharjee but feel for his family and friends and do wonder what happened in his life that it should end so abruptly?

A superb actor. What a very sad loss.
