The programme was spoilt by the OTT blurring and erratic camera work. Did the programme makers think that the topic was so boring, this was the only way to make it watchable?

After a while I couldn't look at the screen, it was driving me crazy, and just listened!

Didn't see it but I know what you mean. They just keep on doing it don't they ? I wonder how many complaints it takes to get them to seriously consider abandoning their fancy, clever camera tricks that irritate the visual effect on the older viewers ?
I also wonder how many letters / comments / tweets they get that praise these modern afflictions, in order for them to persist and continue doing it.
Very few if any at all ! !

I Totally Agree! Both of you.

I should not be surprised to learn that no-one has yet complained to "the powers that be" on the official website provided, mentioned so often on here!

That would mean that no-one thinks that change can be made and it is not worth the effort and hassle complaining. That is why posts on here appear as it is just letting off steam.

Just to say I agree very much, the blurry and shaky camera work is soooo naff, though obviously the stupid producers think it is "cool".

Ha! I think it is well understood! It is all the rage these days, and maybe has been for a long time, that students are given free rein to express themselves. We all just have to put up with it. It is what they want, and their Assistant Producers!
