Really enjoyed last night's intelligent programme about the demise of Anne Boleyn. BUT I have one question for the BBC team and their researchers....
I always understood that Anne Boleyn had an extra finger, and wore a glove to cover this fact up. I thought that this was a factor in her being executed, as it helped to demonstrate that she was a witch.
I ask this because I was born with an extra finger - removed at birth in 1958. My daughter was born with 2 extra fingers - one on each hand, removed at a specialist plastic surgery unit when she was 8 months old. (Times have changed since the 1950's!).
Your comments and feedback would be most welcome, particularly from one of the historians involved.
Many thanks for such quality TV.
