Yet again i watch a programme that i like, Escape to the country, and still they havent realised reality, most people watching the programme are at home due to retirement ,or unemployment. And they are probable looking to relocate due to these circumstances, and probably only have a reasonable budget to buy,but the show always portrays homes of between 250 and 500 thousand pounds. This is out of reach for most people, why cant they find reasonable priced homes for us to watch, there are some beutifull locations and houses well below this price. making it a more reality tv programme to enjoy.i am not saying that they should not show more expensive ones, but to mix the programmes up,to give lower income viewers a chance to look for something of a dream home. come on bbc, there are other home programmes for the expensive homes and property, give us a chance to catch the dream. I have applied several times but i guess im not in your price bracket to start a new life.

On the other hand they can only make programmes about people who actually apply, do you know for sure that there are people applying with a lower budget and being ignored in favour of the higher ones?

Yes as i said i was one of them, and im sure that its not only the affulent ,that apply. And they could always advertise like they do,for people needing cheeper housing,to start again or indeed their first place,or last place to retire to,making way for larger familys to move to.

    Yes, I'm sorry roseeadie,

I asked for my post to be hidden because I didn't read your post properly and thought you would find my reply offensive.

The only other thing I feel is that escaping to the country is never cheap but agree it is worth a try.

Sorry again for my previous post.

    hi roseeadlie

I believe that lots of people apply to be on the programme, far more than could possibly be included in a series.

So it could well be that your price range wasn't the problem, it was just that you weren't lucky enough to be one of the people picked for inclusion in the programme.

It's often hard to get on programmes and/or in the audience.

Yes there may be a lot of applicants, but as i said why no lower priced propertys, and yes, i may not be one of the chosen, but the question still remains the same.

No offence taken,i believe that if you dont want any critisim, then you shouldnt write anything, everyone is entitled to their opinion,as long as its not foul language. But thank you anyway.
