I would like to know why the Food and Drink program spelt carrot incorrectly. They called them CARROTTS, as in Jasper. Not impressed. Sue

Answer: It was a mistake.

I think you will find there is no such word.

I think that you will find that there is. There are multiple spellings of some words.
I think that you will find that there is. There are multiple spellings of some words. Although, just to be picky (and perish the thought that anyone on these board should be picky) the OP had an issue with the SPELLING of just one word.

Should it not be "programme" as in TV- not "program" as in computer?

No, I use the American spelling, quite deliberately. I accept that this is a BBC board, and that the first B in BBC stands for British, but, I am exercising my right of free spelling, to use the American spelling, just as I would use it for other words.
Should it not be "programme" as in TV- not "program" as in computer? It certainly should!
Does the OP know how to spell WUM?

Just to be picky
Sueollerenshaw-might be Sue Ollerenshaw-as Al Murray might say- gold old British name.
or even good old British name
Dear me. Erin McKean would be spinning in her grave at this thread.
...if she were dead, of course.
