Excellent program, nice use of historic information.
Keep this up BBC
Enjoying this too but the actors wandering around modern day London in Victorian garb isn't working for me
Watched it and really enjoyed it.
Thought it was excellet apart from one or two shots of candle lit rooms, where they might as well have shown a balnk screen as far as I was concerned
And being ultra-picky, it would have been nice if the off screen narrator (Toby Jones) and the on screen commentator (the actor Ben Addis playing Frederick Wicks) had voices I could tell apart - slightly confusing at times, but not in a way that really mattered

And could they really not afford someone to advise the actor playing the reporter on how to pronounce the condemned man's reported last words? I'm assuming the original text used the old spelling "gethan" - but the reporter would still have heard it pronounced as it is today, not as though the man had suddenly started reciting Welsh rugby players.

I noticed he misponounced it but I assumed it was deliberate - Wicks would have written it down as phonetically as possible, since he didn't speak German and I thoguh the actors was reading what he's writte
Could be either of course
