This year I watched the Queens Xmas message with my mother who uses subtitles. I was amazed that the standard of subtitles was so bad. I do not understand why they could not have been pre-typed and synced with the speech. Instead they were put on live, behind the actual words and worst of all the mistakes in the spelling were awful. In the end they were laughable. The repeated substitution of surf and surfers for serve and service. There really cannot be any excuse for this.

Lucky it didn't say 'serf'.

This year 'The Queens Christmas Message' was filmed by SKY, so perhaps better to direct your complaint there.
