Continuity announcers.

    Am I the only person who finds continuity announcers to be an annoying waste of space? It's bad enough they have to start rabbiting all over the end credits of every programme but the latest trend seems to be that the BBC show a trailer for a programme coming up later that evening and then the announcer reminds you again that you can see later on. Yesterday it happened twice with the trailer for John Bishop on Who Do You Think You Are. No sooner had the trailer finished the announcer repeated what we'd just seen. If the BBC is so short of money then get rid of these totally unnecessary announcers.

    I have to say that with all the credit squeezing ,DOGs, intrusive background music and waffling announcers I find it an absolute delight to watch programmes I've bought on DVD which remind me how good TV used to be
