Surely guests are invited on to television shows to entertain the viewer. Not just to flog their latest DVD. I'm not naive; I am aware that many guests on The One Show have an agenda, but usually they have the decency to entertain first, and sell second....Not Peter Kay! Tonight he spent half an hour blatantly selling his DVD without a single amusing story. He might have spent many years being a very funny comic. It looks like he has now become arrogant enough to think that all he needs to do is turn up and we will all laugh heartily and get our wallets out.

No one was a bigger fan of Peter Kay than I. He disappointed and irritated me last night. I'm no fan of Chris Evans but the atmosphere in the studio was very mixed. Even Dave the Prop Man appeared genuinely irked.
Kay was like a child who refuses to stop when told. He was unprofessional, unfunny and undeserved of his seat on the sofa.
Any respect I had for Kay and his talent was ruined last night. I'm afraid he damaged his reputation and certainly my liking of him.
I won't be buying his DVD. It's a shame as I loved his work. He has earned vast amounts of money and now feels it's not important what he does as he need not work again to live comfortably.
He may have proved his theory right as last night he set his career back an age. I am now going to forget about the Peter Kay and will live with the memories of a fallen gunius. He's become a pathetic figure and has self-destructed! It's very sad.
