Can we stop the practice on Quiz shows like Eggheads, etc., where contestants HAVE TO go through a process of elimination for multiple choice answers, even when the answer is blindingly obvious?
What's the capital of Britain?
" Well, I think New York is in America, which leaves me with London or Bude. Now when I was young we stayed in a caravan near Bude and, if I remember correctly, it was a small seaside town in Cornwall... so I'm going to say London..."
Come on, it's embarrassing. Fill the time up with more questions.

The capital of America is definately New York though.
Well, some might argue its still Richmond or Montgomery.
