Rowan the problem has been Nick's attitude to messageboards and messageboarders THROUGHOUT this exercise. This is not something which has blown up recently. He annoyed posters from day 1 insisting that we had to go to HIS blog to discuss OUR MESSAGEBOARDS.
If Nick had looked as if he was listening to us, meeting us half-way, or not obsessed with blogging (we get it, he's EDITOR BBC Blogs), we may have been inclined to take the Guardian article with a pinch of salt. But Nick only has himself to blame for the perception of hating messageboards, and being perfectly happy to do away with them.

Can we choose a thread and stick to one of them. Either this one or the one at online
It will make it easier to follow the discussion, and easier for Nick to respond.
Don't know who should choose.
My thought is that it should be here, as this one has been going longer.

Gizmo, Nick only responds to the ones he has started and has only ventured onto this thread a couple of times.
Both threads are fine with me. This one to keep folks updated as to what is going on.

I think this thread should stay as it's on the Television Board where most people will see it.
For newbies, this ^^^ is what we're discussing.
