The new USA President Barak Obama has to be the smartest man in the world right now - in public places and on TV he wears a suit, shirt AND a tie and in his private life he is likely to wear casual gear. His dress code is excellent.

This is and should be a lesson for all UK men, particularly public figures, even on TV, who when wearing a suit, look like they are wearing dirty, unbuttoned and un-ironed shirts and NO tie, in their attempts to look 'cool/casual' when in fact they look a mess.

Time to follow the new black President of the USA and smarten up.

Thinks of Alvar Lidell in dinner jacket and tie reading the News and that was on radio.

I seem to remember Andrew Neil being rude to a woman who commented about his lack of a tie but it seems common now.
