A little while ago there were so many complaints on this board about the use of the expression "tremendous knowledge" that we thought the BBC had taken notice and it stopped being used.

Now we have Jeremy Vine ruining the show and alienating viewers by continually using the expression

Please, please stop him spoiling an excellent show otherwise

Kegweg - How many complaints? Jeremy Vine is not *ruining the excellent show* he is simply gently mocking both the Eggheads and visiting contestants, and nobody seems to mind except you?

Completely agree! Also Jeremy's pronounciation can mislead contestants. Today 10th October he said " al horno", pronouncing the Spanish "h" like an English "h" when in fact, in Spanish, it's silent, so he should have said "orno". Could have confused the contestant.
