I know there are already threads on this programme, so please reply to them and not this one.

But I just wanted to remind everyone that SciFi are having a catch-up week starting tonight with the first three episodes.

It's a fantastic show that just keeps getting better and better. :-D

When's that coming to the BBC? I've heard that it's happening some time in the summer; is that true?

    Hiro is great!

To be honest I initially kept watching because I was enjoying comparing it to the X-Men! But the character development and story arcs have been brilliant, and now I'm hooked!

Matt and Niki in particular didn't really grab me early on, but lately they've had some excellent storylines.

Having watched the re-runs last night I realised that I didn't miss much at all the first time round. It really hits the ground running, doesn't it?!

Well seen the first 6 episodes now and wonder what all the fuss is about.

The story line is so thin and predictable its certainly not even close to the nextr lost. If it wasnt for Hiro I wouldnt have persisted with it.

Battlestar and Lost are infinetly betther then this. The one I'm really waiting for is "Town called Eureka" to make an apperance for Season 2.

Heroes is a good series but it's been let down by Sci-Fi's poor presentation and excessive advert breaks.

I'll watch it again when the beeb show it.

Sorry you don't like it! How is it predictable, though? Did you realise Hiro was going to come back from the future to see Peter? Or who Sylar really is?

Battlestar and Lost are infinetly betther then this.

I've tried watching Battlestar but it's just relentlessly grim, and I can't really sympathise with any of the characters.

I love Lost, this 3rd series in particular has been excellent. But I am preferring Heroes at the moment. The characters are so great, and each episode is better than the last one. :-)

Hiro coming back from the future no - as I said before he's the star of the show - the other (with the exception of Peter "I can fly" not are utterly boring and predicatable

Relentless, yes but the characracter are really great from the chief (now officially a cylon), Balter (smarter than you're average bear), Gaeter (rather shallow), and on through to Adama himself.

The president, her ladyship, is just too boring though - gotta give you that one

    I have to disagree!

Claire and her adoptive father are brilliant characters. Claire is wonderfully understated, I could really believe she was a real person. And her Dad is amazing: sinister and creepy but utterly devoted to her. Peter and Nathan's relationship is also fantastic: they clearly love each other but are so different, and I can see they could get pulled apart. I didn't really get into Matt and Niki/Jessica initially, but they've got some great stories lately and I like them both now. Hiro, of course, is just wonderful!

There are two youngish guys in Battlestar who I can't even tell apart! They look and act the same. I can't stand Balter, he always sounds like he's on the verge of tears; his voice has *always* got a quaver in it - very annoying! I can't really get into this programme at all - and I have tried!

by all means, the variety of life and all that,

Claire and her adoptive father are brilliant characters. Claire is wonderfully understated, I could really believe she was a real person. And her Dad is amazing:

Claire her self nothhing more than a slightly warm Zombie and just about as interesting. Her adoptive Dad, yes - he has potential. But at the moment he's just being menacing - which will probably become tiring soon so I hope he's character gets developed in the 3 episodes tonight before I fall asleep.

Yes nearly everyone hates Balter but I can see his perspective - also his a lost cause - he'll be the key in finding earth (assuming they want to end the show sometime - like Lost 4 series should be about right). Gotta wait till next Jan now I guess to see how Balter survivies after his trial. And also to see if madam high and mighty will still be talking to the Admiral himself after aquitting Balter

How Claire copes with her new-found ability is great TV. You might not have seen this yet, but tonight she makes a huge effort to retain a friend which is really quite sweet.

I wouldn't say her Dad makes huge character strides tonight, but change is definitely on the horizon. I love the fact that he has adopted a girl with "abilities", and yet he has no qualms about hunting others down and doing God knows what to them!

    Yes nearly everyone hates Balter

I don't have strong feelings for him one way or the other because he's so wet! I just think he's a weak, not very well acted character.

Yet to witness this - and I believe one of tonights 3 episodes is how they discover their abilities - so it wont be in that one. So far she's not coping ans whinning away

I wouldn't say her Dad makes huge character strides tonight  pity - he was the one who held hope for me - I cant rely on Hiro all the time!

I don't have strong feelings for him one way or the other because he's so wet! I just think he's a weak, not very well acted character.  That is probably exactly how they want Balter portrayed as a 4 stone weakling - physically and the voice has to go with it - cant have a deep booming voice. Now he can get on with his book and get it published and her ladyship (who I hold in the same ilk as you hold Balter) will finally lose it I hope.

Six months previously is a great episode! I won't spoil it by saying anything about it. But if you still don't like Heroes after this one don't watch it any more: this is a subtle, clever ep.

You can always rely on Hiro! :-)

Well, good then. In which case I take it back: he's a *very* good actor!
