    WHEY HEY,

The return of Ziva & Abbey (drool drool).

Now if only they could bring back Kate as well!!

Oh I know how - Gibbs's memory loss can be explained as a dream or Kate has an identical twin sister.

Now that all three CSI programmes have completely lost thier marbles and sunk into farce and implausibility, which is a real shame they used to be good, NCIS is by far the best of the American imports.

Have to agree with you rosecott. I have now reached the stage with CSI (even Grissom) that I can take them or leave them, but............... NCIS is an absolute gem of a programme.

I didn't watch the first series, and then only caught up with it when FX were showing the programme from the beginning.

The thing about NCIS is that it is most definitely an ensemble effort. Mark Harmon is great as Gibbs, Michael Weatherley likewise as Di Nozzo, and David McCallum is brilliant as Ducky. I have to say my favourite series was when Gibbs, Di Nozzo, Ducky, McGee, Abby and Kate were altogether. I am warming to Ziva, but am struggling with Lauren Holly as the Director.

And what about a shout for the star of the programme as far as I am concerned...... Mrs Mallard.

One of the funniest creations in a serious? forensics programme.

Just how wonderful is this show? It goes from strength to strength with really good plots and wonderful character development.

I think Ducky is well aware of the relationship between his lab assistant and the female agent - the way they keep scuttling into the cupboards or the van is a delight to see - but Dr Mallard isn't daft!

David McCallum is just brilliant in this programme - full marks to whoever thought of him for the role of Ducky, and like the previous poster, his eccentric mother and her corgis are overdue for another appearance.

And Abby's new boyfriend - a match made in heaven!

Agree with you Bidie-In. Last nights show had me hooked on the plot and laughing out loud. The are a wonderful team and just loved the sparring with the FBI!!

The only thing to spoil it was that silly signpost thing for Neighbours followed by the "coming next". Why do TV channels do these things, wrecking their best programmes by these annoying intrusions <steam>

    Hi Wendy

Yes - those "coming next" things are a nuisance - I thought most channels had accepted that the viewers do not like them and had stopped using them? First time I remember seeing them on Ch5!!!! <steam>

Still, full marks to 5 for buying NCIS! Wouldn't it be great if David's partner from Man From U.N.C.L.E (Robert Vaughan?) was able to guest star in an episode? I think it has been talked about, but it will depend on him being available and in the US to film it.

Have complained to Ch Five about those "coming nexts" but just got a bland stock reply. They are obviously really into promoting Neighbours and want to plug it during programmes as people channel hop during ad breaks ~ you don't say!!!!

All I can say is the more people that complain to them the better and hopefully they will get the message and stop spoiling their decent programmes like NCIS with these annoying overlays.

I am eagerly awaiting the DVD release of series 4 and a few nights in to enjoy without adverts or channel logos, just pure and unadulterated Jethro <loveblush> and the team.

Yes it would be great to see Robert Vaughn with David McCallum on NCIS especially if combined with Ducky's mother and her corgis, what a laugh that could be.

<magic> ah my first heart throbs Napoleon and Illya together again in my favourite programme, what a dream!!!!!

Those coming next indents <steam> during CSI last night too, most annoying.

I love watching the older episodes of this, with Caitlin and Di Nozzo when he was being a total prat, he's not so much the prat now in this newer series because he's in lurve, but I liked him when he was being a total prat.

Good episode last night. I loved McGee playing mentor to the young forensics woman from the "boondocks" - I think his character is developing really well. Interesting storyline too.

Soppy romantic Tony is getting a bit annoying, but from the very last seconds of the episode, it looks as though that might all go horribly wrong soon!

I was hoping it would be Ziva who was spying on the 'new-man' Tony. But maybe not.

Ziva fits in well now - her forcing the apology out of the local sheriff was wonderful

.... and when that local police chap refused to remove his trousers and Gibbs said did he want "Officer David" to remove them ... pure magic!!! Ziva is meshing well with the team and I am itching to know who photographed Tony and his girlfriend in the closing seconds. Hopefully all will be revealed with a humourous twist.

Ruby would make an excellent assistant for Abby don't you think?

Perish the thought. Abby is part of the "team".
No in past episodes she asked for an assistant and had that chap who was after nailing Tony. If she has to have an assistant it would be good to have somebody who meshes well with the team. After all Abby does have a lot of work to do.

I got a bit lost in last week's episode. Was whathisname (who Ducky impersonated) working for the CIA? And did the Director know this all along?

Ducky going undercover was good though!
