I have recently found 2 bundles of about 20 bugs and speaking to the local pest control guy he has found plenty of them. Not really pests and mine just sit up above the kitchen window and then move around when it gets a bit warm! Any reason why they have appeared this year?

Last week (8th October) one wall of my house became covered with small ladybirds, about 200 in number and they came & went in about an hour
Can the reasons be aired on Autumnwatch Unsprung??

These are very likely to be Harlequin ladybirds, which are relatively recent arrivals to the UK, and are still spreading out, so they may not have been in your area in big numbers up until now - they spend the winter in houses, sheds, porches, etc. Have a look at www.harlequin-survey.org.uk for more details on them
