I'm really looking forward to this, as I've always been a fan of Wallace and Gromit, and the trailer I've seen looks like a welcome return for them.

I cannot say the trailer did much for me, and I wonder is Wallace and Gromit have had their day. I do admire the animation and the work that goes into it, and I did like all of the previous efforts.
But Chicken Run was only mildly amusing for me, and I am not sure if they can stretch this sort of gentle, traditional British humour to a full length movie.
Is anyone else looking forward to this, or does anyone think Wallace and Gromit are a little bit too passe in the face of more popular modern animated fare?

I'm going to watch it, but not at the cinema, I'll wait for the DVD/ television showing of it. I like a bit of harmless fun.

The trailer is very typical of what I imagined but it made me laugh.

Me and a mate saw the movie at a special screening and we both really enjoyed it. I had my doubts, I ddn't think there would be a long anough storey for an hour plus film and the trailer wasn't funny. But I put that aside as soon as the original music began. Not all the jokes were funny, Peter Kay not being a let down but for 98% of the film I was chuckling away. This is by far the best animated comedy of the year-better than Madagascer, better than Robots and deffontly better than the pigeon movie I canty even reamber the name of. Talking of Madagascer theres a ten minuit short film feturing the penguins (the only decent thing of madagascer) which is also funny. One more thing THE RABBITS ARE SO CUTE.

Reading an interview somewhere else on the BBC film site earlier I get the feeling Ardman were pushed around by American money too much for Chicken Run. Looking at the box office on both sides of the Atlantic British humour certainly has its place. While it may never be mainstream it has the charm of Alan Bennett / Phoenix Nights etc
