Are you going to spend the Chinese New Year in Beijing ? They have interesting traditions this season but I think the rivers will be frozen to ride on boats...by the way, your country is hot, will spend winter in China facing minus 20 degrees ?

No, I haven't studied Mandarin yet but I really envy your memmory to decorate about 5,000 ideograms to communicate, was it easy for you ? Are you a good designer ? To write in Kanji is also an art.

During the last Olympic games our TV in São Paulo showed the fairs in Beijing selling snakes, scorpions and even roasted cockroaches, it seems to be a delicacy in the country.

    Hello Stella!!!

How are you? Sorry, i didn t see that you had answered me...
How old are you Stella? I m 32, and yes i speak french and spanish. I m a technical translater.
Well, life in France can be quiet or agitated, it depends where you are living... I mean the city where you re living... For example, i m living in the South of France, here, it s quieter, life is slower... On the other hand, Paris is faster, and very agitated!
Here, in my city, we live with the nature, animals...We re close the mountains.
Next my city are other big cities like Montpellier, Perpignan, and farther, cities like Lyon, Paris... We re close to Spain! Until the last summer i was living in the spainish border, it was great, but now, with the crisis we had to move farther...
I ve a lot of Chinese friends. They re people so nice!! I don t know much about China, but i love his food!!! I ve 2 daughters, 4 years old and 6 months. My husband is Peruvian, so my daughters are half - bloods. Maybe you know it but very long ago, there was a chinese colony in Peru, my husband has chinese origines too... My hobbies are reading, trecking and cooking... and my children of course!!
Well, Stella let s get in touch!! here you ve a new penfriend!!!

    Cheers!
    Take care!
    Maria

    Hello Naya !!

I'm in São Paulo on the southeast, I've got a friend who travelled to Macchu Pichu, very nice pictures, in one of them a Lhama jumped over a boy, these animals aren't reliable, or maybe they don't like humans. A lot of mummies in another place, and chiefly the people wearing traditional garments, another interesting culture.
Do you enjoy Scorpions, Justin Bieber, Iron Maiden or maybe Marisa (Fadista)? Scorpions and Omega started together their career, the song "White Dove" is an English version of "Gyöngyhajú lány" (The girl with pearly hair), Omega's great success in all times.
Not only you can see the stars...smiley - winkeye

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go on a camping trip. After a good dinner, they retire for the night, and go to sleep.
Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend. "Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

"I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes" replies Watson.

"And what do you deduce from that?"

    Watson ponders for a minute.

"Well, astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful, and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe. What does it tell you, Holmes?"

Holmes is silent for a moment. "Watson, you idiot!" he says. "Someone has stolen our tent!"

    Hello Stella !!

Your English is quite good. Hong Kong is also an interesting place to visit in China, the city has trams with two floors like the buses in London.
Yes, I'm Brazilian and it is very hot today, the sun is burning and the school year is about to finish. By the end of the year many people go to the beaches, there is a tradition that you dip into the sea and jump seven waves to allure good luck to the newborn year in the first minute of réveillon.

In my city they close the main street for shows, at midnight a giant clock installed on the avenue starts the countdown for the fireworks illuminating the sky...though not so much due to the skyscrapers but even so is great.
I'm going to Rio in January to enjoy the beaches...it is high summer for us, time to enjoy life and get a tan. We are waiting for you smiley - smiley !!!
