    Hi Mike

It is really a good idea to write a poem even my english is not good enough to compose a poem in English. I read your "haikku" and think it must be fun to translate our chinese poetry.

This is a poem by a poet of Tang Dynasty:
I think of you at the night of Autumn
I stroll and recite a poem of praising this cool season.
In this lonely mountain, the fruit of pinetree are dropping off the branch.
As a leisurely man like you, I wonder if you keep awake to feel the change of nature.

The original work is a four sentence with 5 characters. I had learnt it in my primary school day. Unfortunately, it is no longer in the school text book nowaday.

    Have a good time

Hi Dear Sucka, smiley - smiley

The description of your weather sounds so terrible. For our people such weather is a big problem. Our climate is humid enough and we have a lot of people suffering from heart and lung diseases. And such a big difference can cause many problems.

I hope your weather is better now. My parents started thinking about our summer house. My dad doesn't go out and it's a great chance for him to breath the fresh air. smiley - smiley

Today our weather is very nice. When the day is sunny it makes me feel happy. smiley - smiley

Medovukha is sweet but really tasty. I can't buy it in a bottle. I can get it only in cafe.

Yesterday I went to the part of my aria where I hadn't been for a long time and found it totally strange. You know, a lot of people have a car now and living far from the center they have some problems to be there on time because of traffic jams. So beltways are being built now. They are being built high above the ground and surround our city with a lot of rings. . Many years ago I could see it only in fantastic films. On the one hand they definitely help us to get wherever we want much faster but on the other hand we can miss our turn and look for our way for a long time.

    Have a good time.smiley - rose

    Hello Karina, smiley - smiley

In my case, I've not had any cups of hot chocolate at all until this year. At the beginning of this year I looked for shops for hot chocolate and finally I found them and had it. It's because I've always looked for hot chocolate shops whenever going out. On the other hand, my daughter made me a cup of hot chocolate. It was the same taste as a cup of hot chocolate at shops.
It's very sweet, then I also won't often drink them. I've never had an idea that first you melt chocolate and put fruits in it, then leave them in the fridge for some time. Your sweets are fantastic. smiley - smiley

I misunderstand you open the window fully. I'm released you open the window just a crack. But be careful so that you won't have a cold because it's still winter now. You already hear birds singing? I think your birds also get used to a cold weather, too. Even though spring is coming soon. We have some migratory birds. One is summer bird like swallows which comes from southern countries to breed here in summer. Other is winter bird like swans and cranes which comes from northern countries to winter here. Have you heard such kind of birds?

Your city is developing even now. Maybe I wonder if the 2013 World Championships in Athletics are scheduled to be held in Moscow. I remember now. In your country the 2014 Winter Olympics also will be held in Sochi. Your country must be lively with big events. One of your students is a candidate for swimmers of Olympic, isn't she? Maybe you can hug her to cheer up her. I'm also amazed at that girl.

The weather forecast proved right. It snowed but in the evening the snow turned to rain.

    Take care

    Hello Lacnne,

How are you? Probably in the busiest time of the year! Even I can see in our supermarkets that Chinese New Year is coming. We can buy some Chinese food products but here in the countryside, few people buy them because they aren't familiar with these products. When my eldest daughter still lived at home, she learnt me a lot and I tried to prepare a Chinese dish occasionally.
This year Chinese New Year are celebrated on the same days as carnival and the schoolkids here have an holiday week.

Recently I have discovered a student in the English class, who is in a reading club, so I can discus about interesting books with her. But the first book she recommended was already an disappointment. The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry, an Irish writer. According to my friend, the book should be very nice but it can't charm me. The second writer on her list is someone from Holland, Esther Verhoef, she writes thrillers and some of her books are translated in English. In the past I read the book Rendez-vous and it was nice. I wonder whether you can find this writer in your library?

    Dear Sucka,

It seems to me your daughter has a liking of our Chinese Traditional food. What is her favorite food? It must take you time to prepare the dinner in Chinese style for her. I wonder if you had taken a course in cooking or just followed the recipe. Speaking frankly, cooking isn't my job during Chinese New Year. On the first day and the second day, I will have dinners with my mother and mother-in-law respectively. Even my mother is old, she likes to cook for us as well as she doesn't have faith in our cooking skill. Hopefully, my elder sister is keen on learning how to cook and she can be the best apprentice of my mother. My mother-in-law is older than my mother, she is happy to live with my sister-in-law. My sister-in-law will cook the dinner for us and I will do the washing.

I don't know the names of writer. Maybe I search our library for it. Your friend must have her reason to like these two writer. Of course, no one has the same liking. I once read Dan Brown's Da-Vinci code and found it so complicated. I never understand why the writer used many jargon. I doubt if the subject of emphasizing code is existed. Then I borrowed a special version of "Da-Vinci Code" that with illustration, the story was much easy to understand. However, I don't like it much. I prefer his other work "Angel and Devil".

    Have a nice weekend

How was your week? I'm really fed up with our weather. The winter takes too long for me. I'd like to have sunny and dry weather but surely everyone! The hailstones ,last week, had a normal size, no panic!

Indeed we also have some superstitions. I have some in my mind, Friday the 13th is considered as a day of bad luck , a black cat is a symbol of bad luck as well and walking under a ladder gives bad luck too. Only the four leaved clover can gives me good luck and I don't find itsmiley - smiley

Sunday starts the carnival season. The most famous carnival is held in the Flemish city "Aalst, this carnival is very special, it's a part of our folklore and since 2010 recognised by Unesco. There is a parade with splendid floats which mock local and global events with much satire. I have never been a big carnival fan. Schoolkids have a holiday week and a lot of people take a holiday together with their children.

I had a smile when I read your joke. A friend of us could order a crate of beer in the abbey but he had to have a lot of patience and good luck. He wants to sell us some bottles, so in two weeks(and it isn't a joke) I'll have the seventh and missing Trappist. I'd like to give you a bottle but I think it's impossible smiley - sadface Although I don't drink such a beer, I'm going to make an exception and taste itsmiley - winkeye

    Hello Lacnne, smiley - smiley

I've learnt your country's poetry a bit in my junior high school days. I also learnt some famous poets in your country. However, it's a pity that I didn't have enough time to appreciate them. I've watched some TV drama about three countries in your country in between the second century and third century. Several years ago I've watched a film "Red Cliff" where our country's actor played the role as Zhuge Liang. I've watched a film "Xiang Yu and Liu Bang" and I like it.

Lacnne, I understand a poem you translated for me. When we express the beauties of nature, we use four characters -- flower, bird, wind and moon.
Have you heard of a word of four characters?

I've read some sentences with five characters which were written in rhyme.
However, I can't understand how wonderful their rhymes are. I've heard English poetry sometimes rhymes, though I've not seen them.

It was a cold week. On Wednesday it snowed but it snow turned to rain. Finally the ground wasn't covered with snow. I expected it, though.

    take care

    Dear Sucka,

I'm fine but have a sore throat from a cold. Though I've been about not having a cold, people around me have a cold. Then I can't avoid them on trains. Spring will come soon because this month is February. March is the next month. Then spring comes so soon, isn't it? Did you hear the snowstorm struck in NY? The traffic, especially airplane, was paralyzed. Beside, four people died because of the snowstorm. It will snow more some times in my country in February. In my area, the air is very dry and people easily have a cold. We need masks to protect us from having a cold. smiley - sadface

I think each country surely has several superstitions, though I don't know of what kind of superstitions they have. I thought so when I heard people in Spain also have the same superstitions as well as us. By the way, we have some Portuguese words in my language: bobora in southern part of my country means abobora(pumpkin) in Portugal ; buranko balanco(swing); karuta carta(card); joro jarro(pitcher, jug); bidoro vidro(glass) and so on. smiley - smiley

How long does the carnival season continue? The carnivals are very traditional in the Flemish cities, aren't they? I know St Patrick's Day( you know, a kind of festival) is held in the beginning of March in Ireland. In my country, we will celebrate the girls day on 3rd of March.

You are lucky that you can drink special beer. I like beer in your country, especially a type of Trappist beer. I think it's very tasty. We can't drink them in winter. Maybe we will have to wait for them until summer. smiley - sadface
I hope you will enjoy beer, instead of me. smiley - winkeye

How are you? The weather isn't better here, on the contrary we have snow again and it's freezing. Fortunately, today is a sunny day but the most days are grey and gloomy. I'm really looking forward to spring weather.

Probably you could already read it in other messages but spring will also bring me other good moments. My first grandchild is on the way in a few months I'm so happy and look forward to this event. We have here the tradition that future parents choose a godmother and a godfather for their child. Last weekend, my daughter and her boyfriend asked me to be the godmother. We have the tradition that godparents buy sugar beans at birth and the new parents give them in a small decorated pakage to everyone who visits the newborn.
Sugar beans are a kind of pastilles filled with an almond or dark chocolate and coated with a thin hard layer of sugar and they are very delicious. Do you know this sugar beans? I wonder which traditions you have in Russia at birth.

    Hi Mike,

I never thought that you had learnt some Chinese poem in your school. Is it a compulsory subject in your school day? I believe you must have read the three hundred poem of Tang Dynasty. We have an idiom " Once you memorize these three hundred poems of Tang Dynasty, you can be a writer or at least you can recite it fluently." I am not that bright, I only recite it.

I haven't watched the movie about three countries story. I had read the story about this period because it is one of our great literature in our country. I like a poem of Tang dynasty which describe the situation of three countries. It was written by To Fu (杜甫). You can find the translation in English in the web-site.

I have a very happy holiday in Chinese New Year because the weather is fine.
I believe spring is coming soon.

Two days later, it is Valentine's day. I wish you have a wonderful moment with your beloved.

This morning I was with my childhood friend, she is near here in the holidays so I have visited her and her family. I was happy and talkfull to see her an to congratulate her daughter for birthday some time ago, although her husband was around and must be annoyed with all my talking, but he was polite smiley - smiley
My friend´s birthdays was some days ago too.
I hope you find yours childhood friends as you wish. I gave my friend´s daughter some colourfull pencils because she likes them and asked her to do a draft for me. I remembered my own childhood, to have colourfull pencils was so nice. So now, I remember yours beautiful work for your friend.
We had a great rain on sunday with hail around, so it damaged some things, but we are fine.
My internet home access is working again with my first provider, I´m happy it works well.

    Hi Mike, smiley - smiley

Chocolate sounds so nice for my ears. Haha You know when I finished the school one of my classmate went to work to the confectionery. And she told me how they made sweets for themselves. At that time we couldn’t buy different sweets. They were tasty but so similar. So these stories made my mouth water. In some time I decided to make something that she told me about. Recalling old time I sometimes treat my family to these sweets. smiley - smiley

Oh yes, our birds are very brave and aren’t afraid of cold weather. In my city you can find different birds ,many of them are small but very beautiful. The brightest of them are the great tit and bullfinch. In our park we can find woodpecker. This is so hard working bird. When I walk around the park I like listening the voice of nature. It creates so calm atmosphere for my heart. Wonderful swans live in the Summer garden. I haven’t been there after reconstruction but I’m sure these amazing birds got good house for the winter time.
You know I have a summer house located far enough from our city and there only sometimes we can see a crane. They are great. One year they made a nest on the roof of a house. My son was small and every day we went to visit this family. smiley - smiley

To be honest I don’t like professional sport. It’s not so good for our health ,however, I respect people who archive high results in their life. And looking at this girl I can see her sparkling eyes. It’s great.

Do you celebrate the St. Valentine Day? Does this holiday make your city be red and pink? smiley - smiley

I wish you great time on this day .smiley - rose

    Dear Sandra,

I think I would like to rest at home. This New year holiday, I was happy but tiresome. There was traffic Jam everywhere. I couldn't imagine that It took me two hours from my aunt's house to my mother's home. I had slept for more than half an hour. But the vehicles on the street moved very slow. Luckily, I had my lunch before, or else I would starve.

I admire you can join your friend. I am a little disappointed that my friend had joined tour to Europe, I can't meet her in this holiday.
Hopefully, she comes back soon. Then I would like to have a leisurely tea time with her.

Last weekend, I had my spring cleaning. I found that I had many set of colour pen. I wonder why I can't find the colour pen when I need it. Maybe, I need to reorganize my stationery.

I am glad that you got a right internet provider, and then you can surf the net whenever you like.

    Hello Lacnne, smiley - smiley

I don't know that schools teach some Chinese poems these days. At least I've learnt them in my school days. However, I don't exactly remember what poems I learnt at that time. As you said, I know of some famous poets in your country. Some poets, who I know of, had loved beautiful nature, especially mountains, in Guilin like ink painting. pds2.exblog.jp/pds/1...

I know of "To Fu" and his very famous poem like "a Spring View".

I tried to translate his poem "a Spring View" I like. I can't translate it in rhyme.

The nation had ruined; The mountains and river have not changed
Inside the castle Spring is coming; Trees and grasses are blooming
Thinking of the war, feel sorrow; Seeing the flowers, tears run down
Regretting farewell from the family; Hearing bird crying, heartbroken
Time went on; However, The fires of war remain
A letter from the family is worth all the money
Bothering about the family; The more I'm scratching my head, The less I wear an ornamental pin because my hairs gradually fall out.

It's good for you to have a happy holiday in Chinese New Year. Thank you for your kind words.

    Take care

How are you these days? Hopefully not eaten too much and not too tired! I can imagine there is a really migration in your city now. I saw a report on television about busy stations in mainland China. I can imagine well because I was in Beijing the first week of May and experienced the same situations in metro and public places. I had never seen such situations before.
My daugher is still always a big China lover, it's a pity that she can't use the Chinese language in her current job. When she still lived at home she asked me to buy a wok, most of my chinese dishes were prepared in the wok, I used chinese vegetables, chicken, porc meat, noodles and a kind of sour-sweet sauce. And to be honest Lacnne, It weren't culinary highlights and I have never followed a course but my dishes don't taste badsmiley - smiley

I had a discussion with my friend about the book and she told me that only the end was nice. You can guess, I don't have the patience to read to the end.
I also read The Da Vinci Code, it was such a hype some years ago and everyone talked about. You're right it wasn't an easy book but I read it out, actually, it wasn't my genre. In the meantime I'm reading a book by a Duch writer and can't recommend you.

    Dear Mike,

I hope you're better now. You're right, viruses are there where a lot of people are together and in overcrowed trains, it can often be a problem. You're a commuter, can you tell me something about your train trip to and from your work? Can you always sit down or do you often have to stand in a crowded train and so on...Here are trains hardly ever on time. Both of my daughthers are also commuters and they're often complaning about train delays.
I have seen Chinese people on television recently who were wearing masks because of the smog. In my country I have never seen someone with a mask.

From 10 February to 1 April we can celebrate carnival in several towns every weekend but I don't live in a region where we have carnaval traditions, probably is that the reason why I'm not keen on carnaval parades.
You'll celebrate girls day soon. Sorry for all my questions Mike but I'd like to hear from you how you'll celebrate this day. Do you something special with your daughter on this day?

I hope you had an great Valentine Day,

Holiday is happy but tiresome. I had eaten many traditional food during the holiday. I must have a diet afterward. Today I go to GYM , hope that my fat will be lessen!

You are genius in cooking! Even I got a stock of cook book, I can't make a tasty dish. Maybe I miss some critical point in recipt. I don't use wok to cook my dinner. Wok is heavy and not easy to handle. I hate to clean the wok after cooking. I use an non-sticking pan with glass cover. It is easy to observe if the dish is ready or not. I wonder if you go to market which is operated by Chinese to buy the ingredient to cook the chinese dish.

This week I read a book called "gift" is written by Celelia Aherm (she is author of P.S I love you). It is an interesting story about an agressive business man.
He was so busy that he ignored his family and his friends. He never thought that he was doing something wrong. Then one day he met a homeless man and changed his life completely. Upon his awakening, he fixed the relationship with his family. I think you may like this genre.

    Hello Karina, smiley - smiley

Recently I've watched a American film "Chocolat" which featured Juliette Binoche as its major star. Chocolates make people happy. I think chocolates have strange powers after I watched the film. Vianne also has a strange power that she can see which chocolates people like. Then she can make them happy sooner or later. On the one hand, she helped a woman who is victim of domestic violence; on the other hand, she also was helped by the woman who she helped. Vianne can't settle in the same place for a long time. When winter comes, she has the fidgets to move to the other land. However, this time the woman settle Vianne in the same place.

I've not seen your "haha" for a while. It's great you decided to make something sweet. I hope you can enjoy your time. smiley - winkeye

You enjoy watching and hearing birds singing or working hard at trees in your city. I've not seen woodpeckers in the fields. Listening the voice of nature make us relax and comfortable, I think. I remember I walked in the mountains. I could hear the voices of a variety of birds and the murmur of a stream. I've never seen the place swans live and cranes live. Your summer house is located in good place, I think because you can see cranes which live in their nests. In my case I can only see nests where swallows live.

I think we can choose a variety of ways in our life which are ordinary or extraordinary. Anyway we need to choose one from a lot of ways. It depends on us. As you said, I have to respect people who archive high results in their life. I agree that the girl with sparkling eyes is great. Maybe she enjoys her life, I think. We also celebrate the St. Valentine Day. However, I think we celebrate the day less than maybe you celebrate the day. Girls give something good to boys on the day. On the other hand, boys give something good on "the white day". Probably you don't have this event, I suppose.

I'm fine but a bit tired now. Thank you very much for your kindness. We have to take care of ourselves on trains. We don't know who have a cold.
Some people, who have colds, don't wear masks. In the morning many people get on trains at the same time. Then the trains are always very crowded. However, railroad companies plan two double-tracked in a part of section of all tracks to reduce congestion. In the morning we can't avoid crowded trains unless I shift my working time. In the evening the trains also are very crowded, then I let it go and get in another one to avoid a crowded train. In my case I let some trains go and then get on a train to sit on a seat. Regarding delay of trains, our railroad companies are so excellent that I've seen train are delayed unless the storm strikes railroads.

I don't know of carnivals in several towns in your country. I wonder if they are related to Lent and Easter. I'm not quite familiar with your carnivals.
In my country, we celebrate girls day for girls to grow in good health.
When a girl is born, her grandparents give her a special gift which is called as "Hina-ningyo". Generally speaking, we decorate "Hina-ningyo" and celebrate the day every year until she become ten years old. We also have some special rice cake called as "Hina-arare".

    Hello Lacnne, smiley - smiley

I like British history, especially related to Elizabeth I. I've watched many films but I can't finish watching a film "The Other Boleyn Girl" because sisters -- Mary Boleyn and Anne Boleyn -- are involved with successor affairs and Anne.

Especially Anne conceives her feeling of hatred against her younger sister and consumes herself with hatred because Mary loves Henry VIII, he also loves her. Anne is sent to France because she married the nobleman Henry Percy without king's permission. After returning to England, Anne charms Henry VIII and requires him to divorce his wife. Finally England becomes independent from the Roman Catholic Church. And when Anne miscarries the second child, she is given a sentence of death....

By the way, I like a certain king of prefecture. He also was attacked from another king with full of ambition and was hounded by him. When I read that chapter, I couldn't finish the book. I don't like that the man, who I like, gets himself into a bad fix. How about you? Can you finish reading a book?

I've known of "杜甫(To Fu)" but actually not heard "Li Bai". However, I'd like to know about two famous poets. Lacnne, I learnt on the internet that "馬耳東風" originate from "李白(Li Bai)" today.

Have a nice weekend. smiley - rose

    Hi Mike

I had forgotten British History long ago. But Elizabeth I had been a famous Queen in history and her story had been adapted in a movie so I knew her. As well I read a book about her life. It is called “The Virgin’s lover” written by Philippa Gregory. At first, I didn’t understand why the author called Elizabeth I as Virgin. Until I watched the movie on TV, Queen proclaimed to be virgin until her death.

Of course, Henry VIII is famous for his obsessive interest in woman. He had married six times and his abandoned queens were executed. He was so wicked that reminded me a story of queen’s fate in our country’s history. It is called “Queen’s death” by Pak Yang (柏楊). The queen was offered a great power while she was cherished by the emperor. But her good luck wouldn’t last for long time. The emperor was hunger for a new love all the time. Then the fate of queen was miserable as well her family.

Li Bai is legend in Tan Dynasty. He was a talent poet. He could write a good poem even he was drunk. He was once invited to the palace and asked to write a poem about the emperor’s concubine (楊貴妃). Then he wrote his famous poem “清平調”. I think you may know this poem.

    Take care

    Dear lacnnesmiley - smiley

I can understand how difficult it is, delicious food and keep your weight. Do you like gym? Yesterday I did a nice walk with my husband but afterwards we went to a restaurant and I had my lost calories immediatelly back, haha!!
I'm not a genius in my kitchen at all .To be honest, I don't use much my cookery book, only for cakes I often cook with much improvisation an by feel.
I went one time to a real Chinese store in Brussels operated by Chinese owners. I remember the smell, it was so good , probably the herbs.

I couldn't find the book "gift" by Celelia Aherm in the library but I still have other titles that you gave me.
Last Sutarday I recorded an Hungarian film, Fateless. I suppose, according to the description, a good film about the holocaust. I'm going to watch it later this week. I wonder if you can find this film.

Today was a very sunny day. At noon I could enjoy of the first sun on my face. I sat in a chair in a corner of my terrace, sheltered by the wind, it was really glorious.

    Have a nice time,

Hi My dear Lacnne, smiley - smiley

I want to back a bit to your privies message and say thanks for your kind words. Sometimes people think that I’m very open person but it’s not true. A lot of things I leave behind. Only my son can read everything in my eyes. Sometimes I don’t want to put my problems on the shoulder of other people, sometimes I think that they won’t be able to understand me. I’m glad that my son is happy living with me and his dad. I took him as old enough boy but in his soul and his heart he is still a child who worried so much about our family.

Anyway, I returned to my life with a lot of work and thoughts about my son and about my future puppy. You know my dog is in my heart fore ever.
Yesterday I was so sad to read that this board is going to be closed. I don’t have even an idea how we can chat with each other and I don’t want to lose you. I can give my email if you would like to connect with me it’s like clepasa then you put @ and then you put gmail.com Now I have so busy time because of my work but I have some interesting things to tell you about next time.

By the way we are still in winter with cold weather and a lot of snow. smiley - smiley

Have a good time smiley - rose

    Dear Sucka,

Frankly speaking, I am not keen on GYM. I am not the frequent visitor of GYM. I only go there when the weather is not good for outdoor activities. Strollinng on the path along the riverside is more enjoyable for me. I like the fresh air in the morning. It really helps to relieve my tense nerve. smiley - smiley smiley - smiley

Every weekend I receive a new cook book which is the free gift of newspaper I subscribe. It is useful for me as reference. It is in bilingual language--Chinese and English. I can learn a new recipe as well as the method of cooking. Last weekend, the main topic of cook book is about how to make a tasty vegetarian dish. I like one of dishes-Golden Biwa Tofu. Tofu is nourishing and cheap.
I think I can do it well as I follow the recipe perfectly because the writer show every step to make it. The ingredients consist of Firm tofu, Sweet peas and Mushrooms, it is easy to find in our market. I believe you can make a tasty dish with it if you can buy tofu in your market.

Of course, the closure of message board is not a good news for us. But we can still keep in touch through other channel. I will send you a E-mail instead of posting on board.

    All the best

    Dear Karinka,

I believe I am not that open in my nature. I have my own secret. I tell no one and don't think it is a good idea to reveal. I have my face book account, but I never upload my present status every day. I just want to make friend with my son and know his life. Tonight, I miss my little boy because he hasn't come home yet.
I wonder where he had got. He had told me to come home before dinner. I just check his face book to find what the matter is.

It is just a bad news for us. We can't post our message on board. However, there are many way to keep our friendship. I can send you a E-mail. I believe we can still communicate in the same way.

This week I experience a great fluctuation in weather. Yesterday, we record a highest temperature in February- it is 26C, can you believe? Nowaday, our temperature falls to 15C. It looks reasonable in this season. It seems to me, winter is too long in your country. I hope that spring will come to your country soon.

    Have a good time always

    Dear Karina, smiley - smiley

I found out the bad news from Paul you announced me, too. It's terrible bad news.

I can't believe this situation that "BBC Learning English’s message boards have seen a significant drop in traffic since 2008, comments have dropped to a third of their peak and active posting users are almost 60% below their peak." by Paul

Though I heard we can chat with us at "mustardland.boards.net" and visited there, I think it's developing now and not massive yet. What do you think about that? Do you think we continue our chat at that site as usual?

You know, we have to find out another good message board. We need a place where we can easily chat with each other.

By the way, I'll send you all my e-mail after getting it.

    Bye for now.

    Hello Sucka, smiley - smiley

I've never imagined the day will come in the future. I've thought BBC Learning English's message board will continue forever. It's very terrible sad story, I think. I can't believe We can't chat with each other as well as until now.

Paul said that "BBC Learning English has recently undergone significant restructuring which has seen a reduction in the department staff by 65%. With fewer staff, tough decisions had to be taken about where we invest our time and resources to create and deliver the best content for our audiences. ", then he should create the best content --I mean message board --for us.

We need this mesage board for learning English!

I'm so sad. smiley - sadface smiley - sadface smiley - sadface

I´m so sorry about the close of this board. At first, I was worried about people who will be dismissed from BBC, but after I realized that so prepared people will not be unemployed for long, I felt some relief, but it is so sad we will lose theirs company and support. The moderators avoid violent and disrespectable behaviors, here we could see many different views of life with respect. And all the technical staff and everybody involved. I can´t see another virtual place as here, unfortunately. At least for free..

I just want to thank you for all good moments I had here.

I will recover my gmail and tell you, if you want to keep in touch too. I saw there are a new place, a different one, we can try.

    Hello Lacnne, Karina and Sucka,

The situation is processing day by day, even though we never come to think that BBC Learning Board is closed soon at 1st of March.

I tried to find good site we exchange messages. I visited a Learning English Forum the following address. I think the Forum is not active now. I think this site is very lively still now. Now I can't find good sites yet.
    www2b.abc.net.au/tmb...

After visiting some sites, I gradually was gotten thinking that we should move to the site which Paul referred. Actually, Zek already moved there and still made a thread "About GOD!".

What do you all think about it? I also got an id gmail and already sent you all.
    Please find it out.

By the way, Paul said "In the coming months, we also have plans to bring comments sections and other interactive elements back on to our website www.bbclearningenglish.com as part of a full site redesign and new approach to our content". In addition, he said "In the future we will be focusing the majority of our energies on bbclearningenglish.com, increasing opportunities for interaction between our audiences and the team and creating an engaging and interactive space for people who are studying English."

I wonder if we can expect a renewed opportunity for interaction at BBC.
    Heaven only knows.

    Have a nice weekend.

    How are you?

I visited Karina's thread "Friends all over the world" at the Bull, the Mustardland and left my massage on it. She already get used to the Board and very busy because many people welcomed her. I could see Lark and Nina who are in the BBC MB. I've not talk to them at all, though. By the way, I didn't leave ID of gmail which is eripsa722. I already sent you all. Please check it out. Please try to visit her thread. I think we except Karina are very strange. Lark said she also got lost and didn't get used to the site.
Maybe you two think the same feeling. However, I have to say "The die is cast."

I guess administrators at the Board are very embarrassed when all the people in BBC MB visit there. I wonder if they are ready for the time.

We don't have enough time to talk each other on this site. Then I'd say I wish I could see you again.

    With best wishes,
