It may just be me but can anyone help please? (BBC). I've downloaded many times before, but now when I click 'download to iPlayer desktop', I'm taken to the upgrade page. I click ok to upgrade and get the message that this is already on my system and I must close to continue. I do that and try again only to be returned to the upgrade page. Am I missing something here? Help! this is most frustrating. Thanks in anticipation of someone's assistance. Cheers!

dont argue with the PC - you'll never win.

install the upgrade even though you already have it - somewhere theres a disconnect and something is telling something else that its not there. You will not get past it, and its probably the quickest and easiet route.

I have had many instances of things like this happening, not on the Iplayer but many browser apps and plug-ins.

    also:

see if theres an option in the Iplayer to reinstall or repair, if not uninstall,. reboot the pc and then reinstall.

Thanks for this Phil. It's worked a treat...seems totally illogical but hey it worked. Must remember that in future. Cheers.
