I can't get to the end of a download because my downloads constantly pause themselves after a few minutes, sometimes seconds. If I hit "resume", the same thing happens.
I am running the newest version of iPlayer on a Windows Vista computer.

There's normally a short pause near the beginning of the download as iPlayer Desktop collects the licence for the programme but it should automatically resume once this is done. If you leave it, rather than pressing resume yourself, does it start again?

No, it just stays paused indefinitely! I think I may have worked out what's happening, though. I recently installed new backup software (Rebit5) which automatically backs up on the fly to my external hard drive. Looks like every time it scans the computer to pick up new or changed files, any downloads in progress were pausing themselves and not restarting unless I did it manually. I tried turning Rebit 5 off while I was downloading from iPlayer and it worked fine again.
