Iplayer desk top will not load at all, I get the message below. I have uninstalled the application and reinstalled, this does not fix the issue. my OS is win7 ultimate 64bit.
I guess that the iplayer is now broken for everybody because I am seeing this message on a lot of google results.
The application has been denied access to it's secure local storage. This is where programme and password information, without access it is not possible to run.
In some cases the problem can be resolved by allowing access to your Keychain, if so your operating sytem will be asking for permission to be granted. By allowing access the application will only have permission to read and write to items it has created. There is no risk that it will be able to access any other items stored by the system. Please allow it then click the 'Restart' button below.
The only alternative is to reset the application. Your downloaded programmes will not be lost but will need to be re-authenticated. Any Parental Guidance protection you have will be reset. To do this please confirm that you are over 16 and click the 'Reset' button.
When you uninstalled iPlayer Desktop did you delete the extra directories too as detailed in the iplayer help page "How do I uninstall BBC iPlayer Desktop for Windows?" at
If you follow these instructions fully and then re-install it should work.
