Ugh! I hate 'squat screen' and it was one of the reasons I stopped having a TV. Last week's TOTPs was fine ... this week everyone has put on weight, grown shorter and the drums are a sideways oval. How can I put this right? CAN I put this right??

No cure, best to complain so they don't mess it up next week.

Thanks for the tip, Sandstorm. I've now done that, but am not sure how positive the response was (how is blaming the age of the programme relevant when the 1-week-older programme was fine?!).

    This is what was said:

Thank you for contacting the BBC iPlayer Support Team.

I understand that you feel this weeks edition of the programme ‘Top of the Pops 1976’ wasn’t made available to fit the appropriate aspect ratio.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused but given the age of many programmes becoming available on BBC iPlayer, it can be somewhat difficult to manually format their aspect ratios to fit widescreen ratio.

However I’ve forwarded your comments to our Development Team as all feedback we receive, whether positive or negative, is always appreciated and can help us with future decisions on how to improve the service we offer.

I hope this has been helpful, and once again thank you for contacting us.

    Kind Regards
