    I agree, this is not the first time I have been annoyed by this. It is over an hour since the programme finished. What on earth is taking so long? Why cant the programme be uploaded as it is happening in real time and be ready to go straight away?

    What on earth is taking so long?

    Because the video has to be encoded into various different formats for iPlayer.

    Why cant the programme be uploaded as it is happening in real time and be ready to go straight away?

    Because it's live there are no tapes to encode from until the broadcast has finished. They need something to encode from and the programme to be encoded doesn't exist until it's finished.

    It is over an hour since the programme finished

    They've used the fast encoders for this but you still moan. Through the standard encoders (the ones they usually use), live programmes take around 3.5 times their length from the time they finish. This would have been about 2am tomorrow morning for this. They couldn't have processed it any faster than they did.

    Don't be impatient.

    Also, why isn't it downloadable? Qualifying is, Monaco was, but apparently (or at least not for me), Turkey isn't. I have a horrifically slow internet connection that struggles to stream the low quality option (where is that on the new style, anyway?), so downloading is the only option. Unfortunately, whether something is downloadable or not seems to be almost random.

    Apart from proving it is ongoing it proves that F1 fans know it is an issue.

    Also it proves something else about those fans posting in an old thread as if it was a current one.

    That's hilarious this being about last years race lol

    But i came here for THIS years race.. 8:30pm and the race was done several hours ago. Why do you post the red button post race forum BEFORE the actual race??

    i have been browsing around the internet the last few hours being terrified to accidentally see the result of the race before i get the chance to see the full race my self.

    If you have technical issues, please let us know!

    @grumpy old guv-nor
    not really so foolish as it highlights this has been a problem for some time.
    I have noticed that you haven't actually written a comment that is helpful to anyone yet, just mocked people.

    What is foolish is that you are reading this and will probably write yet another useless comment while and in that time I will have logged off and be enjoying my Sunday.

    Have fun watching the antiques roadshow (since you are an avid live TV viewer!).
