We've always cursed the fact that the iPlayer skip time of ten minutes is way too long. It should be five at the most. Searching for that moment is time consuming and annoying with such big leaps.
Many friends when asked all agree ten minutes is too much.
Anyone else agree?
I've also noticed this (www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mb... 10 mins is about the minimum I've been able to get too.
I have found a workaround, sort of: drag the button beyond the point of 'snapback', and then move it back to near where it was, and you can get it down to ~2mins; but as the timestamp doesn't update (like it used to) this is all complete, fiddly guesswork and much more hassle than the old player - hardly progress.
